A feed ranked by fit
Openings are ordered by how well your skills, location and pay expectations match — and each job shows which of its required skills you have and which you’re missing.
Longa replaces the WhatsApp-group job hunt. Job seekers see openings ranked by how well they match their skills. Employers get applicants sorted by fit instead of a flood of messages — for full-time jobs, freelance gigs and everyday informal work across Southern Africa.
Why Longa
An accountant vacancy, a live-in housekeeper and a “pay N$300 to secure your spot” scam, all in the same group, forwarded again and again. Job seekers scroll past hundreds of posts they can’t apply for. Employers get flooded with CVs from people who can’t do the job.
Feed for a bookkeeper in Windhoek
No repeated ads, fee asks screened out, and the jobs you fit come first.
For job seekers
Tell Longa what you can do once. From then on, the jobs you’re qualified for come to you — the strongest matches first.
Openings are ordered by how well your skills, location and pay expectations match — and each job shows which of its required skills you have and which you’re missing.
Your saved CV goes with every application. See when an employer opens it, invites you to interview or puts you on their waitlist — no chasing.
Every post is checked before it goes live, in English, Portuguese, French, Swahili and Afrikaans. Ads asking you to pay an application, uniform or medical fee are blocked or held for review, and any job can be reported from its details.
Employers message you inside the app, so your phone number stays yours.
For employers
You need someone who can do the work, not 400 CVs in your inbox. Longa puts the people who fit at the top and keeps the whole hire in one place.
Title, pay in your currency, the skills the role really needs. Done — no recruitment agency, no forwarding chains.
Everyone who applies is ranked against your required skills, with their screening answers alongside, so the best fits are at the top.
On the Business plan, applicants missing a required skill are told up front, and if they apply anyway they hear straight away which skill was missing.
Move people to interview, waitlist or hire from one screen, and message them without swapping numbers.
Freelance & informal work
Most work in the region is short, local and informal: a painter for the weekend, help at the market, a logo for a new shop. Longa gives it a proper home.
Gigs ranked by your skills and budget, one-time or ongoing — and you can offer your own services for clients to find.
A household needing a gardener or a spaza shop needing weekend help can post from a personal account. No company registration needed.
Short paid tasks are tagged so people who need income this week can filter straight to them.
SADC only, on purpose
Longa is built for the Southern African Development Community and nowhere else: pay is shown in each country’s own currency, the app speaks the region’s languages, and it works the way people here actually hire. We open country by country, starting with Namibia.
